KHC Dragons

KHC Dragons have earned a reputation as one of Europe’s most feared teams thanks to some absolutely sensational displays over the years. This started with a brilliant debut season in 2010/11 which saw them eliminated in the quarter finals in a dramatic penalty shoot-out. That performance was topped in 2011/12 when they defeated Dutch giants HC Rotterdam to win the Bronze medal, only for them to go one step further the next season when they were narrowly defeated by HC Bloemendaal in the tournament final.
Last season, they won the bronze medal match against Belgian rivals Racing Club de Bruxelles and they have lost just twice in normal time in their four seasons in the Euro Hockey League. For their fifth attempt, they have talisman Jeffrey Thys back at the club after a year with Rotterdam and retain some of Belgium’s finest hockey players such as Florent van Aubel, sweeper Arthur van Doren and new captain Felix Denayer but penalty corner ace Loick Luypaert has moved to Kampong. Will Dragons continue their upward trend and take EHL glory in 2014/15?
