Harvestehuder THC

The dream debut, Harvestehuder THC became the first side since the inaugural Euro Hockey League to win the competition at the first attempt, producing a brilliant set of results. Having seen off Beeston and Cardiff in the group stages, they overcame Uhlenhorst Mülheim in the KO16 and Club de Campo in the quarter-finals. A brilliant semi-final comeback against Racing Bruxelles laid the base for their final success against Oranje Zwart in a penalty shoot-out.
The Harvestehuder squad is one of immense talent. Germany’s double Olympic Gold medallist and 2010 FIH Young Player of the Year Tobi Hauke is widely regarded as one of the world’s finest midfielders and is the player who makes them tick along with Benjamin Stanzl.
Austrian international Michael Körper is a penalty corner expert of the highest quality while Swedish poacher Johan Bjorkman provide the goal threat. Daniel von Drachenfels from Club an der Alster and Swiss player Yanik Kloter add to their roster. Coach Christoph Bechmann gave some of the most iconic half-time speeches last season and will hope to inspire the side to another glorious performance.
